Post Graduate Certificate in Health Care Studies
This course will deliver you key factors of Health Care, including personal effectiveness and performing great team work within the team environment. This will help develop those wish to competence in leading and managing teams. It is expected that students should be self-motivated to enquire to take topics under discussion to questions traditional theory, and using their own professional knowledge and practice to compare theory. For some students they may already have existing knowledge from earlier studies which they can refer back to for using general theory, whilst others may be drawing upon practical experience.
The programme will include class-based teaching such as lectures and tutorials, group discussion and real case studies. Students will be assessed from their learning outcome of the unit. This could include a report of 4000 words based on a familiar organisation from the student's option or they could be asked to assess and evaluate the organisations environment identifying the key internal and external factors that are likely to have an impact upon the organisation.
Attendance
At least 15 hours per week including tutorial and work experience.
